About

Rooted in nostalgia yet designed for the modern reader, this identity blends charm with a global, contemporary feel.

I was approached to create a brand identity for the Mindvalley Book Club - a space where readers, authors, and ideas come together. My goal was to design a visual system that feels warm, timeless, and intellectually grounded. Drawing from retro editorial aesthetics and classic literary inspiration, I crafted a brand that is modern, approachable, and built to connect with a global audience across digital platforms, events, and merchandise.

The Challenge

A global community of readers needed one warm, unified identity - a cozy home for meaningful conversations.

The Book Club was uniting readers globally, but the experience lacked cohesion. There was no consistent visual language across the podcast, author collaborations, social media, or community touchpoints. To foster a true sense of belonging, the brand needed a warm, nostalgic identity that felt familiar and inviting. We built this foundation from the ground up - designing a retro-inspired visual system that brings all channels together and creates one cozy, unified space for readers to gather, learn, and connect. If you're ready, I can now write the Solution section (both versions).

Solution

We built a warm, retro-inspired identity from the ground up - giving the global Book Club one cohesive visual home.

To unify readers across platforms and continents, we designed a full brand identity system rooted in nostalgic editorial design. Every detail - from the logo to the palette, typography, and layout patterns - was crafted to feel cozy, familiar, and timeless. The result is a cohesive experience that connects the podcast, author events, social media, and merchandise under one inviting aesthetic.

Key Deliverables

  • Brand Identity: A custom logo suite, retro wordmark, and consistent editorial visual motifs.

  • Color & Typography System: A warm, nostalgic palette paired with classic, readable type.

  • Podcast & Social Templates: Episode graphics, author spotlights, promo kits, and event designs.

  • Marketing Collaterals: Posters, merchandise, print assets, and community materials.

Concept

Every element - from logo to layout - was designed to support Alyssa’s presence as a transformational leader.

For the Book Club, we set out to design a visual identity that feels modern, clean, and resonant for a global audience. The color story, typography, and layout grid draw inspiration from contemporary publishing and editorial design — vibrant, structured, and aesthetically refined. Our goal was to create a brand that feels fresh and current, while still maintaining a sense of warmth and approachability.

This approach produced a cohesive, contemporary brand system that stands out, scales easily, and connects readers across every platform.
